Affiliate membership entitles your organization to offer the training programs of the Lifesaving Society and to present candidates for examination. Affiliate Members enjoy credit privileges and have voting rights at the Lifesaving Society's annual general meeting.

"Affiliate members" of the Lifesaving Society, Newfoundland and Labrador Branch, include municipal recreation departments, YMCAs, summer camps, boards of education, individual schools, colleges, and universities, private organizations and individuals who pay an annual membership fee to become affiliated with the Society in Newfoundland and Labrador. 


AFFILIATES OF THE SOCIETY:

• Play an essential part in lifesaving training by offering the awards of the Canadian Lifesaving Program to the public or to their members or clients.
• Play a key role in support of Water Smart public education in communities throughout the Branch. 
• Provide direction to the Branch concerning community needs and program revisions.
• Are protected by and comply with Branch policies.

  AFFILIATE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIETY ARE ENTITLED TO:

• Offer the awards of the Society's Canadian Lifesaving Program.
• Obtain all printed material related to awards and examinations at no charge
• (e.g. test sheets, fee sheets, request forms).
• Receive price discount on selected Lifesaving Society merchandise.
• Order program support materials, including some candidate awards, on credit.
• Advertise courses on our web site and in the newsletter.
  
• Send designated test sheets to the Branch Office for processing.
• Receive professional assistance from Lifesaving Society representatives for Instructors, Lifeguards, and Programmers.
• Receive WAVES, the Society’s newsletter.
• Cast one vote for each motion at the Annual General Meeting of the Lifesaving Society, Newfoundland and Labrador Branch.
• Provide stakeholder input to the Branch operations
  
• Are provided with access to aquatic employment opportunities.
  

Download, complete and return these forms to the branch office of the Lifesaving Society.  Affiliate members will be invoiced annually in January.  The registration form will be completed every five years, or if changes are applicable to the affiliate member details.
