Lifesaving AED Instructor/Examiner
Lifesaving AED Instructor Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Instructor/ Examiner course prepares instructors/examiners to teach and evaluate the skills necessary for the operation of an automated external defibrillator. Certification is obtained by taking a Lifesaving CPR-HCP Instructor/ Examiner course or a Lifesaving AED Instructor/ Examiner course.
Prerequisites: One of Lifesaving Instructor/ Examiner, Lifesaving CPR Instructor/ Examiner, Lifesaving First Aid Instructor/ Examiner or AEC Instructor/ Examiner.

Lifesaving CPR - HCP Instructor
The Society's CPR-HCP Instructor/ Examiner course prepares instructors/ examiners to teach and evaluate CPR skills required by Health Care Professionals (HCP). Includes Lifesaving AED Instructor/ Examiner certification. Certification is obtained by taking a Lifesaving CPR-HCP Instructor course.
Prerequisites: One of Lifesaving Instructor/ Examiner, Lifesaving CPR Instructor/ Examiner, Lifesaving First Aid Instructor/ Examiner or AEC Instructor/ Examiner.

Lifesaving First Aid Instructor/Examiner
The Lifesaving First Aid Instructor/ Examiner clinic prepares instructors to teach and evaluate first aid skills. Lifesaving First Aid Instructors/ Examiners deliver the Society's Emergency First Aid, Standard First Aid, CPR, and Oxygen Administration courses. Candidates are required to complete an apprenticeship after the clinic. Includes Lifesaving CPR Instructor/ Examiner certification.
Prerequisites: Application, Lifesaving Standard First Aid or Aquatic Emergency Care, and Lifesaving Instructor/ Examiner

Recertification Note: Recertification of Lifesaving First Aid Instructor/ Examiner award automatically recertifies Lifesaving CPR Instructor/ Examiner award.
NLS INSTRUCTOR/EXAMINER
After successful participation in the NLS Instructor Course, NLS teaching experience and successful NLS co-examinations with an experienced NLS Examiner, the candidate may be appointed as a NLS Instructor/Examiner.
Prerequisites: NLS Award in the option the Instructor wishes to teach, Lifesaving Instructor Certification, Advanced Instructor Certification, attendance at Examination Standards Clinic.
INSTRUCTOR TRAINER COURSE
The Instructor Trainer Clinic is designed to help prepare participants to successfully apprentice as an Instructor Trainer on the leadership course(s) of their choice (Lifesaving, Advanced, NLS, or AEC Instructor Courses, or Examination Standards Clinic). With apprenticeship experience and the positive recommendation of an Instructor Trainer, the Branch may appoint the individual as an Instructor Trainer. Instructor Trainers are also Examiner Trainers.
Prerequisites: Participants must be certified with one of: Lifesaving Instructor and Lifesaving Examiner or NLS Instructor-Examiner or First Aid Instructor-Examiner
