                                                                Project C.P.R. trains 600 high school students in lifesaving skills.  In one morning

                                                                On March 14, 2012 the entire student body of Booth Memorial High School will be trained in CPR C and AED Responder skills.   In one morning.

                                                                This initiative is a partnership between the Lifesaving Society who deliver lifesaving and lifeguarding training across the province; Thrive, Community Youth Network, who generously provided funding for this initiative; and Booth Memorial High School, which will act as the host for the first pilot study for training on this scale to this age group in the province.  Read more...

                                                                PROJECT C.P.R.


                                                                The Lifesaving Society has received funding to certify an entire high school in C.P.R. Level C.  On March 14th, 2012 The Lifesaving Team and a team of CPR Instructors will be conducting the certification at Booth Memorial High School for about 550 students and faculty.

                                                                The best part?  It's all going to take place over a morning!  

                                                                To ensure that this event is seamless, C.P.R. Instructors are being recruited to join the training team and assist with this huge opportunity for the Lifesaving Society!  You'll have the opportunity to practice your own teaching skills while taking part in a ground breaking initiative in Newfoundland and Labrador! 

                                                                What is your commitment for the event?  CPR Instructors are required to:

                                                                - Instruct at Booth Memorial High School, providing your time from 8:30am - 1:00pm on March 14th, 2012. 

                                                                - Attend a pre-project meeting on Monday, March 12th (more details to follow).

                                                                Besides everything listed, you also get to help the Lifesaving Society pave a new path for C.P.R. training in NL as we bring it to high schools for the first time.   

                                                                Transportation can be provided to and from the event, so no worries about getting there!
