Affiliate Recognition Awards

Affiliate recognition awards encourage and recognize the use of the Society's training programs. Point values (see below) reward affiliates who offer a full menu of lifesaving programs and reflect the relative degree of difficulty or amount of training and effort required to achieve each level including the programming time commitment. Recertifications are equivalent to half the value of original certifications.

OPEN CATEGORY: Awarded to the affiliate with the largest lifesaving program. The Works currently holds this award.

KEAN AWARD: Awarded to the municipal affiliate with the largest lifesaving program in a commmunity with a population between 10,000 and 30,000. The City of Mount Pearl currently holds this award.

ANNIVERSARY AWARD: Awarded to the municipal affiliate with the largest lifesaving program in a community with a population of less than 10,000. The Town of Port aux Basques currently holds this award.

OSMOND AWARD: Awarded to the seasonal affiliate with the largest lifesaving program. The Town of Springdale currently holds this award.
