Lifesaving Factoid

"Whomsoever you see in distress, recognize in them a fellow human being" is the modern interpretation of the Lifesaving Society's Latin motto Quemcunque miserum videris hominem scias, from a play by 1st-century Roman philosopher (and tutor to Nero) Lucius Annæus Seneca.
